Caerphilly Castle

This is Caerphilly castle. It's pretty amazing. Built in the 1200's and restored periodically. On the other blog I wrote about how cool it was to come upon different rooms in the towers, and to think about the people who inhabited this place centuries ago. A great website with pics (not mentioned on the other blog) is at http://www.castlewales.com/caerphil.html.

Last night, I went with Greg to a Welsh music session at a pub. Welsh music is Celtic, yes, but slower, and in more of a minor tone than the Irish music I hear Greg play. I met Mitch, a woman, from France there, and John from Belfast. We had a great time listening to the musicians. Greg joined in here and there.

I bet Greg feels right at home now. The photos are so great. I look forward to your blog everyday. when the kids get settled into school and your on your own, give us a typical day from morning to evening. maybe even with photos. include meals you have prepared, the walks you have to take to make your days flow. Give me the fly on the wall man!

Thanks, my Friend. I will. Meals are interesting--I keep making do with whatever I have in the kitchen. It is truly like starting from scratch here.
