The beauty of living far away...
You can do things like pick up a candle holder, beaded (75 pence at the "What? Everything!" store), and use it for your toothbrushes. And you look at it and think, how sweet is that? And you'd never use something like it at home. Or maybe now you would. You can also blonde your hair just about completely, and nobody sees it. Well, they do, but they don't know you and they think this is how you always wear your hair. And if you go out in the yard to take garden pictures in your loungey semi-pj's, your neighbors stare at you, but you know what? You'll never see them again. So you smile and point and click. And you can start some kind of new volunteer job, say at your kid's school in the library, and just enjoy it, because you have the time. Which I did, today. And it was very satisfying, got me out of the house, talking to Jill and Jane and Allison, and meeting Kaity's head teacher.
Kieron came home the other day very happy because his Welsh teacher said he could use the time as a study period rather than learning Welsh. (Darn it!! He was teaching us how to pronounce the w's and double ll's and dd's). Then his French teacher told him he really didn't have to work hard, just sit and listen to the lesson and do the homework. I get the feeling they're not taking his time here seriously. And he, of course, is loving the lightened work load. That boy!

Sounds like you're taking on a new identity.....I sometimes wish I could do that!
no reason why you can't bring just a little but of your welsh life home.
I will, Lynne, I'll have to be verrry selective. You know how I feel about clutter...
