The Riches come to Cardiff

Our North Manchester neighbors, Sally and Andy Rich and their family came to visit this weekend. Because Sally is a highland lass, we went hill walking.

And lucked out. A beautiful non-rainy day (rare anymore) and a mountain in the Brecons called Pen y Fan. It was a windy walk. Here, on the side of the mountain (along with the other hikers) we find a sheltered spot out of the wind and eat our ham, cheese and chutney sandwiches.

It was a great time. Ten people crowded into our little house. A lot of card playing. A trip out to dinner and rainy yesterday down into a coal mine. They're on their way to Wells and Bath, and finally London, while we start packing for the big trip to Paris.
