This is The Hayes, a side street where the Cardiff City market is located. We find ourselves here every week.

This is the entrance to Queen's Street, the heart of city centre. Usually, it is teeming with people and street vendors.

This is where Greg works at the University of Cardiff.

This is the entrance to the castle, right down by Queen's Street.

Ok, we're a little out of sequence here--this is the street that leads to Greg's building. When we get off the bus to visit him, this is what we see.

Cardiff Castle, again. Built on a site of an ancient Norman castle, it was rebuilt (all but the keep, which is ancient) in the 1800's for a rich coal industrialist, the Marquess of Bute. Inside, it is like the Biltmore estate--luxurious and gilded. It's pretty cool.
