Last few pictures of France...

This is the Pompidou Center--a modern art museum not too far from our hotel. We spent a tiny bit of time there on our exhausted first night. The best part was the view of Paris by night.
This is a monument to the Americans who died in the Battle of Belleau Wood, a WWI battlefield about 50 miles north of Paris. Total casualties during the 20 day battle? 9,777 of which 1,811 Americans died.
And this is also part of the battle field.
Here's Greg in our lovely Paris hotel, ready for a day of sightseeing.
You know this one.
And this is the last thing we saw when leaving Paris for the airport. The metro.

Wow, it looks like that Paris hotel turned out alright after all! And Greg was sightseeing in a suit? You guys painted that town red, I can see!
Thanks for the package!

Hi Alex,
Great! If you want to know more about it, look up Belleau Wood on Google. It's a very beautiful and solemn place. (And it's in the middle of nowhere. It took us a long time to get to it!)
Love,
Aunt Annie
