Canterbury

We left Dover and drove on to Canterbury, just as the sun was coming out. Here, a square in the marketplace. Bustling is a good word for a Saturday afternoon. The old town surrounding the cathedral is charming.
And some amazing musicians playing middle eastern music.
There it is--Canterbury cathedral.
Built in the 11th century, it has stood time well.
Looking down the nave.
The candle marks the spot where Thomas Becket's tomb lay hundreds of years ago. Canterbury by night. Or, rather, late afternoon.
Christmas decorations.
